The dealer’s seven cards are exposed and set first. You then divide seven cards into a five-card High hand and two-card Low hand. The High hand must outrank the Low hand; dealer ties win.
KNOW WHAT WINS BEFORE YOU WAGER.With no pair, a durable House Way start is the second- and third-highest cards in Low. With one pair, keep the pair in High and use the two highest remaining cards in Low. Always verify that High still outranks Low.
Small two pairs can often stay together when an ace supports Low; stronger or widely separated pairs are more often split, placing the lower pair in front.
Because the dealer is exposed, compare your candidate Low and High hands directly with both dealer hands instead of setting in a vacuum.
