Player and Banker each form a total from 0 to 9. Tens and face cards count zero, and only the last digit of a total matters. Third-card decisions are automatic—your meaningful choice is the wager.

BANKER IS THE STRONGEST DEFAULT MAIN BET

With the standard 5% commission, Banker carries the lowest main-bet house edge, with Player close behind. Treat Tie and high-payout bonuses as optional entertainment wagers rather than the core strategy.

Roads record; they do not predict

Use the Bead Plate and roads to audit the shoe and learn dealing rhythm. A streak on the board does not change the probability of the next coup.

Separate main and bonus budgets

Keep bonus exposure small and intentional. Their volatility can hide whether your main-bet discipline is improving.

05 / DETAILED HOW TO PLAY

THE COMPLETE ROUND

  • Aces count 1; cards 2–9 keep pip value; tens and faces count 0. Only the final digit is used, so 15 becomes 5.
  • An 8 or 9 on the first two cards is a natural. Both hands stand unless each has a natural, in which case they are compared immediately.
  • Player draws first according to its total. Banker action may then depend on its own total and the Player third card; the dealer handles this automatically.
  • Banker wins normally pay 0.95 to 1 because of commission. Player wins pay even money, while a tie returns both main wagers.

WHAT TO PRACTICE NEXT

  • Choose the main wager before studying bonus paytables. Banker and Player are the disciplined core; Tie and bonuses create much larger swings.
  • Do not switch sides because a road looks overdue. If you use roads, use them to describe completed coups and verify dealing—not to claim prediction.
  • Track commission and net result, not just the number of winning coups. Banker can win more hands while producing a different net because of commission.
